The Bloody Line is a psychedelic rock band founded in Podbořany on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
At the moment, the band is focused on creating and recording its demo album.

The band’s work will be divided into several creative periods, with the first one telling a fictional story written by Daniel Šváb.
The story is told through musical albums and short visionary pieces.

The band aims to let listeners experience the consciousness, subconsciousness, thinking and perception of all characters—both living and non-living—within the story.
Daniel Šváb also currently acts as the frontman of the band.

The demo album itself will be divided into two phases — the so-called "early beginner phase" and the "later, progressive phase."

Fictive story behind first period: 

The band was founded upon a fictional story that will be told through musical albums. The story follows a young, melancholic, and ambitious man from London, born in 1949. His name is Daniel Insect.

It is now 1969, and Daniel, a university student in his twenties, has fallen deeply in love with psychedelic rock. He listens to all the contemporary bands of the 1960s. Meanwhile, he experiments with psychedelic hallucinogenic substances – LSD, psilocybin, and mescaline. He is also writing a novel about the universe living a solitary yet fulfilling life, and dedicating himself to music and visual art. Next he writes a stories about a man, that hated a dreams and he did not regret his sins.

However, throughout his life, he has made many mistakes with others, mistakes he regrets deeply. These sins weigh on him, and although he prays to God for forgiveness, he remains haunted by them.

One day, tragedy strikes. Daniel unexpectedly dies of a myocardial infarction. After his death, it is decided that he must go to purgatory, where he begins cleansing his soul among other departed souls, communicating with them and finding a sense of wonder there. In purgatory, Daniel discovers the existence of an alternate world from the multiverse. He chooses to go there.

Daniel returns as a living 20-year-old man and becomes the only person ever sent from the afterlife back into the world of the living. His mission is to break the curse of the bat using the heavenly magic he has been granted.

Daniel finds himself in the year 1918, in a world shrouded in gloom, filled with strong and melancholic feelings. Unbeknownst to him, this world is ruled by the devil, who arrived there in the year 18 to save it, but only partially succeeded. He left behind a curse, where bats now rule the world, and in one of them, he placed his curse. If the curse is lifted, the world will return to being like our own universe. 

During his search, Daniel encounters strange things, new adventures, and deeply melancholic people. After wandering for several hours, he discovers a lonely, abandoned girl named Kačka, with whom he becomes acquainted. Kačka offers him shelter, where he will live for several months before finding the cursed bat.

Kačka is half-witch; one of her ancestors from the year 18 was cursed and became a sorcerer. She carries goodness within her but only appears once a year before disappearing again, caught between life and the afterlife, wandering this strange dimension. This other dimension itself was created 51 years later.

After months of searching, Daniel finally encounters the bat, deep inside the largest cave. He attempts to cast the spell upon it, but fails. The bat pierces him instead. This is no ordinary creature—it is a cursed bat that lives for 5,000 years. The curse spreads to Daniel, and the bat flees in fear.

Daniel, devastated by his failure, begins to wander the land aimlessly. If he dies, the devil will claim him through the curse, and he will never return to heaven. The curse carries immense power, and slowly but surely, Daniel begins to transform from human into a vampire.

Eventually, he hides away inside a gothic cathedral near a town. The area around the cathedral is shrouded in legends that terrify people, keeping them away. Those who approach often lose themselves and never return. Behind the cathedral lies a city where people live their lives.

But Daniel is doomed to remain a vampire forever, hidden in the cathedral, active only during the night.
